The Music

Posted by disneykid08 on October 4, 2011

Folks, feast your eyes on this.  Watch and enjoy.  This is Lebo M. He’s the man who wrote the music for “The Lion King,” both film and Broadway.  He wrote his music during the time of apartheid.  If you translate the lyrics, they say “Hold tight my people, don’t get weary, don’t lose your strength, we can see” and “The color of my skin, that is dark, I am proud of it.”

It’s amazing how, even though this was written 20+ years ago, this song is still relevant. This animation is beautiful, the colors are gorgeous, and it brings hope to those who have none.

This, this is the power of music.
