The Return

An adventure in a little thing called the Disney College Program.

Continuing on in this career.

Well hi! Long time no write, eh? I suppose I should change that, like now.  This post is going to be a bit different than my other posts. I’m introducing a new segment I like to call…um…well…Information Sunday? I don’t know if that’s a thing yet, or even if I’m going to make it a thing.  Enjoy!

There are many ways that one is able to pursue a career in the Disney Company.  Most college students participate in the Disney College Program, or maybe the Professional Internship.  For those who aren’t in college, yet wanting to pursue a Disney career can just apply.  However, this blog is about the College Program, and so we shall talk about it.

When you are done with the College Program, like I have done, you are now an alumni of the CP.  Being an alumni opens up a whole new world for you.  There’s a program just for alumni that occurs between the months of June-August, so you don’t have to be there for the full 6 months like someone else who is doing the program the first time.  Now, that does’t necessarily mean that you are locked to the Alumni Program.  You are still able to do another 6 month, or even do what I did and extend your program past the 6 months another 3 months. But if you are getting close to the end in college, and you want to go back, you won’t have to devote 6 months from a schedule.  Granted, you’ll be put behind anyways when you do your first program, but who would want to leave in their first semester of their Senior year?

Now, there’s another way that you are able to stay a Cast Member, and not even have to step foot on an airplane.  That way I speak of is to become a Campus Rep for the CP. What does being a Campus Rep entail? Well, other self writing (seriously, who let him start writing?) being a Campus Rep brings the job of going to Campus presentations, giving testimonials on being on the program, and giving people information on the program who may have more questions.  You also uphold the Disney Service Basics, and continue on with the Disney Look.

Ok, enough with the information, back to me.  Why is all this important? Well this is important because I got another interview with the Campus Rep program.  You may remember my last post…go ahead, look at it. Ok, welcome back. Well, this time, I’m going to get it.  I have an interview on Wednesday, the 17th at 8:00 MST. It’s going to be exciting and nerve-wracking all at the same time. But, if and when I get this, it’ll be easier for me to return to Walt Disney World and continue being a part of this magical company.

Well, that’s about all the time I have for us today! I’ll see you next time here on…the College Program Adventures?
